Description
Blacktail Horseback and Walking Tours offers a two hour western history tour on horseback and a mile long walking tour "Treasure Hunt for Gold" in a scenic canyon outside of Deadwood, South Dakota.Visit a historic stamp mill site and learn about original mining stories and the people who lived in the area from 1876 until 1900. Travel on horseback on a narrow gauge railroad bed and an original 1880 toll road past mining remnants from the 1800's. Learn about the geology of the northern hills and visit the touch and feel table with rock samples and mining artifacts. Travel through two scenic canyons to a scenic overlook. Don’t forget to bring your camera.
